Holland America Lines cruiseship MAASDAM spotted at Pier 21 this AM 16th May 2011. Still rainy and foggy,hence the file photo from August 2008 taken in the approaches off Herring Cove.This ship is a frequent caller at Halifax from early Spring thru to late Fall.

Built in 1993 by Fincantiaeri,Trieste,Italy.

Previously sailing under the name Tahitian Princess the ship is visiting Halifax prior to sailing on to St.Anthony,Newfoundland.

Cruiseship CARNIVAL GLORY was one of three cruiseships visiting Halifax on 15th July 2010. The others were regular caller MAASDAM and a new visitor OCEAN PRINCESS.
