BULKER VISITS



Several new visitors have called at Halifax recently for bunkers. ANDERMATT anchored in the Harbour (Dartmouth Cove) on December 20th while MOLESON spent a stormy night February 28th in light ice up in the Bedford Basin taking bunkers from the bunkering tanker ALGOMA DARTMOUTH on the 1st March.. Both vessels are notable for being registered in landlocked Switzerland!

March 14th caller at Halterm is ZIM MEDITERRANEAN , one of a fleet of ZIM Container Line vessels which make regular scheduled calls at the Port of Halifax.
Built in 2002 by Hyundai Heavy Industries,Ulsan,S.Korea.

OSAKA CAR







Vehicles carrier OSAKA CAR made a unique visit to the Fairview Cove container terminal today 7th March 2011. The berth at Autoport was occupied at the time,but this appears to be a special load as she was only due at the terminal until noon. Built in China in 2009. Owned in Isreal and registered in the U.K. I believe her maiden call at Halifax.

New supply vessel ATLANTIC CONDOR conducting pump and monitor trials in the Bedford Basin,Halifax on 10 February 2011. Built 2010 by Halifax Shipyards Ltd for a sister Irving company, Atlantic Towing Limited. The vessel is scheduled for work on the Encana project off Nova Scotia.
