CAP VICTOR

A rare site at Halifax these days is a crudeoil tanker, although hard to see in the Arctic Smoke surrounding Anchorage No 1 this AM December 14th 2013. File photos depict the vessel in warmer times June 22nd 2010 alongside at the Imperial refinery,Dartmouth.
She is indeed one of the last few crude carriers to call here (not with crude this time). Since big is more economical as refineries are concerned only a few remain in Eastern Canada, what an opportunity to cripple a nation if a nut, or foreign power so wished to attack these installations. What ever happened to the theory of many baskets for ones eggs!
