EAGLE HAS LANDED
USCGS EAGLE ex KM HORST WESSEL arrived at Halifax from St John's yesterday 14th July 2011. The former Nazi (German Navy) training ship was the third of three Gorch Fock class vessels built by Blohm und Voss,Hamburg in the 1930's.She was commissioned by Adolf Hitler in 1936,named after a Nazi Party member.
